3.2.1 Metal Bonddiamond grinding wheel characteristics
Bronze bond diamond grinding wheel features
good shaping molding, high strength, toughness and not good self-sharpening.
3.2.2 Resin bond diamond grinding wheel characteristics
High strength, good elasticity,
combined with a solid, but the resin material is polymer material, no fixed
melting point, poor heat resistance, when the grinding temperature reaches
200-300℃, it ability
to combine greatly reduced.
3.2.3 Vitrified bond diamond grinding wheel
characteristics
Vitrified bond diamond grinding wheel features
high hardness, strong self-sharpening, chemical stability, heat and acid
resistant and low cost.
In view of the above, for the grinding PCD tool, since the resin binding agent is more soft, easy to deformation when grinding, can not effectively grinding PCD tool. Metal binding agent makes grinding wheel poor self-sharpening owing to strong combination of abrasive grains. It has low grinding efficiency, and the metal bond diamond grinding wheel will cause the PCD tool edge serious damage. According to grinding efficiency, durable and workpiece surface processing quality, vitrified bond diamond grinding wheel is ideal choice for PCD tool.
